SharePoint (Modern Sites) - Receiving a Sharing Request Tutorial
In this video, you will learn about receiving a sharing request in Microsoft 365. When you receive a sharing invitation, you will receive an email notification containing a link to open the document directly in your Office Suite.
Depending on the sender's settings, you may need to authenticate your Microsoft account.
If the sender allows you to edit the document, you can use the "Edit document" button to edit it in your browser using Word Online or in your regular Word application.
If you only have read access, you can use the "Download" command to obtain a copy of the document.
However, you will not be able to update it online if you make changes.
This feature ensures that only the sender can update the document online.
Understanding how to receive and manage sharing requests will enhance your collaboration experience in Microsoft 365.
