Every collaborative effort on
00:00:04
Microsoft Teams starts with
00:00:05
creating teams and inviting members.
00:00:07
Teams offers two options.
00:00:08
You can either create your own team
00:00:11
or join an existing one. To do this,
00:00:14
make sure you're in the Teams menu.
00:00:16
Then click on the Join or Create a Team
00:00:19
button at the top of your Teams list.
00:00:22
If teams are already created,
00:00:24
you will find them here and can join them.
00:00:27
Otherwise, use the search
00:00:28
area to find a specific team.
00:00:30
Please note that you can
00:00:33
only join public teams.
00:00:34
To join private teams,
00:00:35
you must be invited by their owners.
00:00:38
They are not visible in your search.
00:00:41
If you want to create your own team,
00:00:44
click on Create a Team.
00:00:46
You can create a team from
00:00:48
scratch or from a template.
00:00:50
Choose from scratch and specify whether
00:00:53
your team will be private or public.
00:00:57
Public teams are open to all
00:00:59
members of your organization,
00:01:01
while private teams require
00:01:03
an invitation to access.
00:01:05
Next,
00:01:05
name your team and add a
00:01:08
brief description if you wish.
00:01:10
By clicking on Create,
00:01:11
you can add members individually
00:01:13
using their e-mail address or
00:01:15
simply by writing the name and
00:01:17
surname of the collaborator.
00:01:18
Keep in mind that a team can
00:01:21
have up to 2500 members.
00:01:25
Your team has now been created
00:01:27
and appears in your list of teams.
00:01:30
Finally, be aware that Teams allows you
00:01:34
to create up to 250 teams per account.
